Wapahani Invitational 4/11/26

At Cardinal Hills Golf Club, Adams Central began its season in the hard, clean light of an 18-hole tournament that asked for patience, restraint, and one steady swing after another. The numbers tell the first part of the story: 182 on the front nine, 202 on the back, 6th place overall. But the better story is that the Trojans already showed the skeleton of a team worth watching, with Drew Johnson, Mavrick Becher, Damien Saalfrank, Coltan Landrum, and Ashton Yergler carrying the card. Drew Johnson authored the round that gave Adams Central its pulse, turning in a 40 on the opening nine and a 47 coming home, enough to place 13th on the front and keep his name at the center of the afternoon. Mavrick Becher was close behind with matching professionalism in 42 and 47, while Landrum’s 45 on the front and 54 on the back helped hold the middle of the lineup together when the round began to widen.
